Wayne-Adam Lance Arruda, 51, of Honolulu died Oct. 28. He was born in Hilo. Visitation 9-10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 11, at Mililani Mortuary Makai Chapel. Service at 10 am. Burial 11 a.m. at Mililani Memorial Park Cemetery. Survived by mother, Loretta (Lori) Enos Arruda; sisters, Sherriann Arruda and Caprice Arruda of Las Vegas; brother Alexander Robert Arruda of Honolulu. Arrangements by Mililani Mortuary.

Christiano Kawika Hashimoto, 86, of Hookena died Dec. 7 in Henderson, Nev. Born in Keei, Kona, Hawaii, he was a retired U.S. Army Chief Warrant Officer 4, Vietnam War veteran and member of St. Benedict’s Catholic Church. Visitation 7:45 a.m. Friday, Feb. 2, 2024 at St. Benedict’s Catholic Church in Honaunau. Mass at 9 a.m. Burial noon at West Hawaii Veterans Cemetery. Casual attire. Survived by wife, Virginia Hashimoto of Hookena; sons, Chris Hashimoto Jr., Bruce D. (Frances) Hashimoto and Paul (Kim) Yarborough; daughters, Jennifer Hashimoto, Georgianna (Kenny Raymond) Hashimoto, Mei Ling (Denny) Englert and Audrina (Milton) Angelo; brothers, Simeon Hashimoto and Arnold (Patsy) Hashimoto; grandchildren and great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and cousins. Caridad A. Yadao, 70, of Keaau died Dec. 7 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Santo Domingo, Ilocos Sur, Philippines, she was a floral nursery employee. Visitation 4-6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 19, at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Wake service at 6 p.m. Addisional funeral service and burial in the Philippines at a later date. Survived by husband, Loreto Yadao of Keaau; children, Jeffrey Yadao and Edralyn Y. (Gaudencio) Alonzo of Philippines, Billy Yadao of Keaau; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
